Yes, this is a true 1983 with the pointy headstock and it's the earliest transition-era L1000 I've ever owned. It's got all the vibe of the early ones plus it has the black crinkle hardware all-around making it even scarcer. It's exceptionally clean with an alder body and a maple neck with nice rosewood fretboard. The frets are really clean and the bass weighs just 9 1/2 lbs which is extremely light for a G&L from any era! Comes with the original hard case that has the nice, plush brown lining.
The pic is quite possibly the absolute WORST one I have ever taken of any bass! I was in a hurry and won't have new ones until Jan 24 or later.
